Young massive star clusters contain a large number of mass-losing stars with strong stellar winds. The winds from individual stars will collide and interact with each other before forming a coherent outflow from the cluster, namely the cluster wind. We review the processes involved in the formation of the cluster wind, using both numerical simulations and analytic results, and compare them with X-ray data on star clusters, particularly from the Chandra satellite.
