Results are presented of the analysis of experimental data on characteristics of the reception of worldwide signals. It was found that the absorption factor, which is significant in the lower range of the signal frequency, determines the azimuthal and the seasonal-diurnal characteristics. The near-ground channel degeneration factor determines the azimuthal ray spectrum and the location angles, and the refraction factor produces a complex caustic structure of the focal spot, by means of regular transverse electron density gradients.
