Photoelectric light and color curves in the international U, B, V system of the classical Cepheid 1162 Aql obtained at the Stephanion Observatory during the years 1984-86 are presented. This material was used for the study of the properties of this Cepheid. The two-color diagram does not support the existence of a companion. The position of the star in the HR diagram shows that the Cepheid transits for the second time the Cepheid instability strip following the evolutionary track corresponding to the stars of 6 solar masses. This value of the mass is also confirmed by the determination of the evolutionary mass of the star.
