The IUE Final Archive (IUEFA) will represent a major reference for other UV space experiments. For this reason a special effort has been devoted to the improvement of all calibrations, both for the wavelength and the flux scales. The experience accumulated along the years and a better understanding of the characteristics of the instruments have allowed much more accurate determination of the instrumental parameters.
