VERITAS is the high sensitivity instrument of latest generation. It is often used for the short (less than 20 mins) monitoring exposures evenly distributed over entire observational season of a source of interest. Each of these exposures is long enough to detect a source at the flux level of about 2 Crab. During 2009-2010 observing season a number of exposures of Mrk 501 and Mrk 421 with VERITAS revealed variable TeV gamma-ray emission at the level substantially exceeding 2 Crab flux from both sources. In May 2009 Mrk 501 was detected in a high-emission state. In November 2009 observed TeV emission from Mrk 421 had also overcome the 2 Crab flux level. This detection triggered a broadband multiwavelength observational campaign with many satellite and ground-based experiments, including Fermi-LAT, Chandra, Swift, VERITAS, Optical telescopes in Arizona and others. Recently, Mrk 421 demonstrated a 10 Crab outburst in TeV gamma rays. Contemporary VERITAS and Fermi data samples of Mrk 501 and Mrk 421 permit detailed spectral measurements during detected flares. The light curves and the combined broadband spectral energy distribution of Mrk 421 and Mrk 501, including Fermi-LAT and VERITAS, along with the spectral models will be presented at the symposium.
