The broad coninua of a sample including 16 strong infrared PG quasars are discussed in the present paper. We found that the shape of the infrared continua of these objects can be roughly divided into two classes: the first shows evident infrared bump and in the second no or only weak bumps exist. The thermal emission mechanism probably dominates in the former and the nonthermal process contributes mainly to the latter. The shapes of infrared continua of these objects are independent of their radio properties. Probably both thermal dust emission and the nonthermal powerlaw emission contribute to different relative amounts in different objects. The conclusion of Sanders et. al. (1989) probably comes from too many upper limit values of of IRAS fluxes included in their sample.
