The blazar, 3C454.3, was observed to undergo a major outburst ( 4 mag) early in the summer of 2005. A rapid decline, punctuated by smaller flares superposed on this decline, followed, with 3C454.3 returning to levels near that observed prior to the outburst in November, 2005. Significant microvariability was detected thoughout this flare with variations of more than 0.1 mag common within a single night. Extreme microvariability had been detected for this blazar prior to this flare with the most extreme example showing microvariations 1.0 mag within a single night. 3C454.3 also exhibited color variations during this recent flare with the object appearing redder when the blazar was in the bright phase. This research was supported in part by the GSU RPE program.
