The Third BATSE catalog of gamma-ray bursts has recently been released. It comprises 1122 GRBs spanning more than three years of operation. All of the locations (including those of the 2B catalog) have been recomputed using an improved algorithm. A few percent of the bursts in the 2B catalog had large errors, which are corrected with the new algorithm. Systematic errors in locations are ~1.6°. Several lines of evidence indicate that the size and distribution of location errors are reasonably well known. The angular distribution remains consistent with isotropy. The intensity distribution is inconsistent with homogeneity at intensities below 20 times the BATSE threshold, and consistent with homogeneity above 20 times threshold.
