The 11-year cyclicity in the change of the module of the north-south
asymmetry of the sunspot areas is revealed. On the basis of the high
positive connection between the sunspot areas and its magnetic fields
the analogous conclusions, concerning the magnetic asymmetry of the Sun,
are drawn.
