The paper examines Venera 15 and 16 radio-occultation data on the Venus atmosphere for six regions of the southern polar region. The investigation covers atmospheric heights of 50-90 km in the -82 to -89 deg latitude region at solar zenith angles of 82-91 deg. Dependences of temperature, pressure, and density on height are examined. The atmospheric parameters in the southern and northern polar regions are compared.
