An analysis is made of Venera 15 and 16 radio-occultation data on the Venus atmosphere at heights of 40-90 km in the -60 to -76 deg latitude region at solar zenith angles of 65-118 deg. The height dependences of temperature, pressure, and density are presented. The large-scale structure of the atmosphere in the southern polar region is found to be analogous to the structure of the atmosphere in the northern polar region.
