The photometric CCD observations of the asynchronous polar BY Cam were carried out at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory with the Cassegrain K-380 telescope and on Terskol Peak with the Zeiss-600 and 2-m telescopes of the RAS Institute of astronomy when BY Cam was in the low accretion state (R = 14m - 16m) in 2004 - 2006. The total exposure was ˜ 300 hours. Light modulation was most significant with a period P1 = 0.137126(2) day and less significant ones appeared at P2 = 0.139750(2) day and P3 = 0.138426(2) day, where P2 and P3 are the orbital and spin periods and P1 is their sideband period. Light modulation with a beat (synodical) period of 14.568(3) days is clearly visible. Its shape varies on the time scale of years from the four-humped curve to a two-humped one. In addition to the already known dependence of the amplitude and O-C for the main hump of the 0.137-day light modulation on beat phase, we found the same dependence for the half-width of the main hump: the hump is wider when the star is brighter.
