The relationships between the red shift and total radio luminosity of radio galaxies with the radio-source structural parameters asymmetry (A), bending (B), and linear size are investigated statistically and by means of numerical simulations. Published observational data on the GB/GB2 and C3 galaxies are compiled in tables and graphs and analyzed in detail. It is found that galaxies at z greater than 0.7 have A and B values larger than those of high-luminosity galaxies at lower z. The bright galaxies at low z have lower values of A and B than the weaker galaxies. The simulation results show that the observed features can be explained in terms of the effects of intergalactic-medium interactions on the velocities of noncollinear jets ejected from the core in opposite directions.
