A high angular resolution observational study has been conducted using the Navy Prototype Optical Interferometer (NPOI) aimed at determining the spatial characteristics of the circumstellar disk of ζ Tauri. Our observations clearly demonstrate the deviation from circular symmetry that is expected based on previous results. In addition, we also detect a clear signature of deviation from point-symmetry, which is detected through non-zero closure phases. We also report on the state of the Hα emission line during the time of the interferometric observations and discuss the possible connection to over-density regions in the circumstellar disk.
