The Accretion-Ejection Instability (AEI), which can occur in magnetized disks near equipartition, is a good candidate to explain the low-frequency QPO in black-hole binaries. Here we present the instability and new results concerning analytical theory, MHD simulation and comparison with observation. We focus on (1) the influence of relativistic effects, when the disk approaches its Last Stable Orbit, on the properties of the instability and its comparison with observations, (2) the results from MHD simulation and (3) the emission of Alfvén waves toward the corona.
