A brief account is given of the activities of the Union Radio Scientific International seventeenth general meeting in Warsaw, August 1972. The report mainly consists of a collection of the written papers used as a basis for a verbal report by the Swedish official delegates to the different commissions at USRI XVII plenary meeting before SNRV, at its session in Stockholm on 13 October, 1972. Topics cover: (1) radio measurements and standards; (2) radio and non-ionized media; (3) ionosphere; (4) magnetosphere; (5) radio astronomy; (6) radio waves and circuits; (7) radio electronics; and (8) radio noise of terrestrial origin.
