We present preliminary results on the X-ray properties of the stellar content of a XMM-Newton observation containing the weak-line T Tauri stars RX J0520.5+0616 and RX J0520.0+0612. Both have been recently recognized as members of the nearby (~100 pc) young (~25 Myr) stellar association 32 Ori group. This is part of an ongoing project aimed at investigating the presence in the solar vicinity of young stars coming from low-mass star-forming regions, contributing to the excess of FGK stars observed in shallow X-ray surveys.
