Radio observations of the redshifted 21-cm line of neutral hydrogen could be a powerful diagnostic for testing cosmological theories. The excitation of the transition is described by the spin temperature, the evolution of which is discussed for some simple cases. Observational parameters are calculated here for explosion, cold dark matter and baryonic models to supplement those for the pancake scenario discussed elsewhere. The possibility of observing precursors of superclusters, while still in the linear regime, is also considered. A possible cosmological test emerging from observed structures is outlined. The greatest prospect for the future is the Giant Metre-Wavelength Radio Telescope being built in India. High-sensitivity measurements in the frequency band around 152 MHz (corresponding to z=8.4) are particularly useful.
