Earth Rotation: Fluctuations

The purpose of this paper is to detect the 120d fluctuation of the Earth rotation. The data used are the daily value of variation in the length of the day ΔLOD (1979.12.1 - 1990.6.30) and the atmospheric angular momentum AAM for the same interval. After removing the semi-annual component by the period difference, the 120d peak is pronounced in diagrams of two spectrum methods. The same conclusion was obtained for the series AAM.
