HII region emission-line diagnostics are essential for quantifying stellar populations, probing the interstellar medium, and measuring abundances in galaxies. Single-star HII regions offer ideal systems to test the stellar atmosphere models upon which HII region spectral analyses critically depend. We use spatially resolved longslit observations of LMC single-star HII regions to evaluate predictions from widely-used stellar atmosphere models. We have a sample 12 ionizing stars with spectral types ranging from O6.5V to B0V with one B0.5Ib and one B1.5Ib. For each star, stellar atmosphere models from the CoStar, TLUSTY and WM-basic grids are used as the ionizing source in the photoionization code CLOUDY. In addition to testing the stellar atmosphere models, we critically examine optical emission-line diagnostic ratios.
