Observations and interpretations are presented of polarization time profiles of solar bursts at six different frequencies over the entire microwave range. The mean degree of polarization turns out to be significantly higher in the spectral maximum than in the other regions. Above the spectral maximum, rho(c) shows a power law decrease with harmonic number, a behavior which fits the predictions of a homogeneous source model very well. A variety of temporal structures are distinguished which can be explained by the influence of different parameters of a homogeneous source.
