A low light level television meteor observing system sensitive to stars of magnitude +8.5 is briefly described. Correction procedures for a nonuniform field of view and the movement of the meteor image are developed. Observations of sporadic meteors with the system yielded a mass distribution index of 2.02 plus or minus 0.04 valid over the absolute magnitude range approximately +3 to +6. Diurnal rate of occurrence statistics are also presented.
