A tachyon dust solution is presented for a gravitational field
corresponding to the symmetry group G(4)IV on V3 in Petrov's notation.
The solution has a simple form which is analogous to the closed Friedman
solution. This analysis is used to support the view that the universe
could expand as a tachyon universe at each singularity.
