We have analyzed IUE archival spectra of three dwarf novae systems in outburst with newly determined distances, two U Gem-type systems UZ Ser and VW Vul, and the Z Cam-type system TZ Per, all three above the period gap and very heavily reddened with E(B-V) values of 0.27, 0.30, and 0.15, for TZ Per, UZ Ser, and VW Vul respectively. For VW Vul, the best fitting optically thick steady-state accretion disk model yields an accretion rate of 10-9 Msun/year. The white dwarf mass and disk inclination used in this best fit are 0.35 Msun and between 18 and 41 degrees respectively. Our best fit is in agreement with published values for the mass and inclination range. Moreover, there is no significant deviation from a steady state disk flux distribution in the observed spectrum across the far ultraviolet. Implications of these findings and our results for the other two systems will be discussed.
