Papers are presented on recent developments in celestial mechanics and the observation and mechanics of the minor planets. Specific topics include the stability of planetary orbits in binary systems, the use of the regularizing functions in orbital resonance problems, the motion of Pluto, the reduction of nineteenth century planetary observations, planetary observation made by astrolabe and the polar moment of inertia of a compressible body. Attention is also given to a rapid method for calculating minor planet trajectories based on Chebyshev polynomials, the mechanics of minor planet satellites, equinox and equator determinations from minor planet observations, and a fundamental system of star positions and motions based on minor planet observations.
