Stars: Binaries: Symbiotic, Galactic Populations
Scientific paper
A brief description of symbiotic binary stars is given, followed by a
discussion on their evolutionary status. It is evident that different
subtypes of symbiotic stars belong to the different Galactic
populations. Discussion of some properties of the hot and cool
components of symbiotic stars is presented.
