The broad-band coverage of Suzaku is ideally suited to X-ray observations of cataclysmic variables (CVs), which often have soft and hard components, and prominent Fe Kalpha lines. During the first 6 months of the mission, we have observed the dwarf nova SS Cyg in quiescence and in outburst; the unusual magnetic CV, AE Aqr; and the symbiotic star CH Cyg. I will present early results from all three observations.I will also breifely summarize observations of stellar X-ray sources, notably that of eta Car.
