The surface settling of a liquid meniscus upon step reduction in gravity in a right circular cylinder is calculated numerically. In the numerical simulations a slip boundary condition and a modified model for the dynamic contact angle are used. The influence of the boundary conditions on the interface oscillation is determined. The results of the numerical simulations reveal a significant influence of the dynamic contact angle boundary condition imposed on the moving contact line on the numerically obtained surface oscillations, i.e. on resonant frequencies and settling times. .
