We propose to obtain multicolor surface photometry of a sample of low surface brightness (LSB) galaxies for which excellent rotation curves exist, but which have no other data. The interpretation of LSB galaxy rotation curves is less affected by disk-halo degeneracy than is that of high surface brightness galaxies. This property makes LSB galaxies excellent laboratories for tracing the distribution of dark matter. This is an issue of fundamental interest which can directly test the cuspy halo mass distribution predicted by CDM simulations. Though suppressed relative to bright galaxies, the luminous mass distribution of LSB galaxies does matter to the details of mass models. The lack of photometry greatly restricts the analysis which can be done. The data we propose to obtain here would remedy this situation.
