We present new spectra covering the 0.4-2.4µm wavelength range of 6 small icy bodies of the solar system observed with the ESO-VLT instruments FORS, ISAAC and SINFONI.
These observations are part of the Large Programm 178.C-0036. We study 1 Centaur (Echeclus), and 5 Trans-Neptunian objects (Ixion, 1999DE9, 2002AW197, 2003AZ84 and 2003FY128).
Because of their spectral diversity, these objects form a representative sample of these dynamical groups (different degrees of redness and darkness, with or without absorption features in the near infrared range). This give us the opportunity to discuss, using different spectral modelling, on the surface properties of the small and far wandering
bodies of the solar system.
