The meteorites called carbonaceous chondrites are the least altered
samples we have of the material which formed our solar system.
Using57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy we show that the
carbonaceous chondrite Murchison contains a compound exhibiting
superparamagnetic relaxation below 80 K.
