The tendency of superassociations (SAs) to meet in pairs at both ends of the bar simultaneously is discussed under the assumption that the presence of an SA at one end of the bar does not depend on the presence of an SA at the other end. An examination of 130 spiral Markarian galaxies shows that there is a marked tendency for SAs to form pairs at the ends of bars.
