In this work we present the determination of small body orbits of the solar system at the Tashkent Astronomical observatory, started by prof. M. Subbotin (1890-1966) in 1922. He was the Director of the Tashkent Astronomical Observatory and observer of the Normal astrograph during the 1922-1930 period. Prof. Subbotin worked out the new formula of orbit determinations on the basis of Lambert's equations. The new Lambert's formula is effective not only for orbit determinations, but for their improvement. Investigations on theoretical astronomy which were continued, during the 1930-1950 period, by prof. Subbotin's students, J. Zukervanik , N.Voronov, L. Matkevich, are described. Since 1981, till present, the investigations of small body orbits have been made by the author of this work in cooperation with prof. Batrakov . Some investigations on the comets are also described in this work.
