Preliminary results of the JIKIKEN (EXOS-B) satellite in verifying wave-particle interactions in the plasmasphere and magnetosphere have been obtained using energy spectra made for the UHR mode plasma wave and pure tone emission in the ELF and VLF ranges. Other observations include auroral kilometric radio waves, upper hybrid mode emissions, (n + 1/2)fc emissions (where fc is the electron cyclotron frequency), principal phenomena of the VLF frequency range such as whistlers, chorus, and hiss; artificially stimulated plasma waves and observation of plasma parameters, planetary radio waves, and solar type III outbursts. Moreover, experiments with controlled electron beam emissions, and for the detection of field aligned ionization ducts and of the geomagnetic vector field and its perturbation effects, have been made, as well as analyses of the energy spectra of both electrons and protons by means of a channeltron multiplier ranging from 10 eV to 20 keV.
