Measurements and observations on the Apollo 14 lunar landing site indicated differences in rock compositions as compared with rocks from earlier Apollo missions; isotopes of nobel gases yielded lower exposure values for the rocks. Passive seismic experiments detected more natural seismic events that corresponded to meteoroid impact and moonquakes. The presence of argon was detected in the solar wind experiment. Magnetometer and gravity field studies established a mascon with a flat topped appearance. The spacecrew also performed some demonstrations of composite casting, electrophoretic separation, gravity induced heat convection, and liquid transfer and expulsion by buffles.
