Data derived from the absorption of background sources by H2CO clouds show that there are smaller cells within the extended clouds. A cell that is found in many clouds extends about 0.5 pc with a velocity dispersion of about 1 km s-1. Larger features, in general, have higher dispersion while those of smaller dimension (tens of AU) have lower dispersion (0.5-0.7 km s-1). These data should be considered in models of the dynamics of interstellar clouds.
