Scientific paper

A technique to determine slow outflow speeds in the solar corona by means of the line ratio of the OVI resonance doublet was described in a previous paper [19]. The application of this technique to a streamer structure was also described in that paper. We extend here those results by analyzing two more streamers, both present at the west limb, one on May 4, 1996, the other on June 5, 1996. We find results which confirm the previous ones.
