The results of the frequency analyses for the complex case of HD 2724 are presented. Although based on a large and accurate data set covering more than one year, we were unable to derive a common frequency solution for the data of different years. Two frequencies can be unambiguously identified in the proposed multiperiodic solution, with sufficient proof of their reliability. The possible modal content of HD 2724 is discussed in view of its physical parameters derived in the Geneva Photometric System. HD 2724 is a plausible candidate for amplitude modulation in multimode Delta Scuti stars.
