The progress in the author's studies on linear multistep algorithm for the orbital integration of artificial Earth satellites are summarized. Three basic principles are introduced to determine the spurious roots of the eigen-polynomial. Five linear multistep integrators are recommended to use in practice, and they have obvious advantages over both symmetric and Cowell methods by means of their comparisons of each other.
