I present the analysis of time series photometry data of the globular cluster 47 Tucanae (NGC104) from HST. I have measured the pulsation frequencies in the variable blue stragglers with unprecedented accuracy. From a comparison with theoretical models I have constrained the masses of these stars to within 0.15 solar masses.
I present the analysis of a multi-site photometric campaign on the giant stars in the globular cluster M4 (NGC6121). I have used autocorrelation to look for patterns in the amplitude spectra of the giant stars. The preliminary results indicate that the large splitting is lower for stars with higher luminosity as is expected from theory.
I present the analysis of time-series photometry on the open cluster NGC6791. The goal was to detect eclipses from Jupiter-sized planets in close orbits around their host stars. I detected a small number of candidate (single) eclipses.
I describe the software package VWA, which preforms a semi-automatic abundance analysis of stellar spectra. The software has been used to characterize the main targets for the COROT satellite mission.
