Abundances of He, O, N, Ne, Ar, and S are determined for 14 planetary nebulae previously observed by the authors in the visual region. Carbon abundances obtained on the basis of the observed intensity of C II λ4267 are also included. The results are compared with those presented by other authors and the differences are discussed. The main causes of errors are reviewed.
