The magnetic fields at the surfaces of ten G-K dwarfs are estimated using the statistical Stenflo-Lindegren method. Fields of the order of 1-2 kG were determined for several stars known to have active chromospheres. No magnetic fields were detected for tau Cet, Beta Com, Lambda Ser, and sigma Dra. The possibility of improving the Stenflo-Lindegren method in order to decrease inaccuracies of the magnetic field model is examined.
