A series of detailed numerical results of asteroid orbit computations at certain important resonances, 1:2, 1:3, and 2:3 are presented. These are summarized in Tables I-IX and are illustrated in a series of associated phase diagrams. The effects of the orbital eccentricities of the perturbing and the perturbed bodies on these resonances are assessed in three different models: ideal resonance, averaged elliptic resonance, and the actual resonant model. In order to do this, additional theory is developed in Sec.II. It is encouraging to observe the persistence of the general features of ideal resonance. As a general rule the characteristics of ideal resonance disappear when the orbital eccentricity of the perturbing planet (Jupiter) exceeds the orbital eccentricity of the asteroid.
