High redshift quasars are studied using a semi-analytic model of galaxy formation by Kauffmann, White, and Guiderdoni (1993). We used Sloan Digital Sky Survey imaging data of quasars with z>3.6 and modeled gas cooling, luminosity function, and hierarchical merging formation. At the low redshift, the luminosity and mass rate slightly behave as the quadratic function and as redshift gets higher, we observed that the steeper decreasing rate of the mass ratio and luminosity which also related to the circular velocity. We will more carefully look at the ratio changes and how the dust mass of quasars affects the formation.
