Lineaments identified on space photographs of the eastern Turkestan
Range are considered. The observed lineament zones correspond to
latitudinally oriented Paleozoic structural-formational zones in the
region. Submeridional zones indicating hidden deep-seated faults with an
anti-Tien-Shan direction are also identified.
