Scientific paper

A geological investigation was conducted to study the morphology and structural peculiarities of the Sobolev meteorite crater. It is noted that the deep structure of the crater is composed of lens-shaped bodies of cracked rocks which cover an area with a diameter three times that of visible craters. The lower lens boundaries are relatively distinct, which is associated with the distinctness of the destructive shock front.
