Astrophysics is a rapidly growing field, driven by observations from ground and space-based telescopes. Nuclear physics provides critical input parameters, such as cross sections, masses and half-lives, which are important for the interpretation of the observational data. In this contribution recent accomplishments from structure and reaction experiments relevant to studies in nuclear astrophysics will be discussed.
