Frequency variations of the structures of extragalactic radio sources are studied by comparing 81.5-MHz interplanetary scintillation data and 408-MHz long-baseline interferometer visibilities with 5-km telescope results at 5 GHz. Over the range 81.5 MHz-5 GHz, extended components (at least 2 arcsec) are generally more dominant at the lower frequency. Over the range 408 MHz-5 GHz, there is good evidence for the existence in some cases of extended steep-spectrum regions which are visible at 408 MHz but contribute a negligible fraction of the flux at 5 GHz.
