Limits on the coupling energy of stable strange quark matter are obtained. The observational consequences of the possible existence of strange, quark, and metastable neutron stars are examined; and the possibility of the Bose condensation of dibaryons in dense nuclear matter is considered. It is shown that the characteristic pulsar age changes as a result of the conversion of a metastable neutron star into a quark or strange star.
