The distribution of faint galaxies down to B = 22.0 from Cosmos measurements on a deep U.K. Schmidt telescope plate is compared with stochastic simulations of fields of galaxies for a number of cluster galaxy multiplicities and cosmological models. The results support the view that the majority of galaxies are isolated in space or exist as members of pairs or triplets. Inclusion of superclustering in the simulations reduces agreement with the observations.
